Spring Cleaning #30 Cleaning Drives

I have never used the S&P drive so I practiced putting some photos on it and deleting them. The only drive I use is the Z drive and I deleted some old stuff and moved my photos to flickr.

Spring Cleaning #29 E-mail

I didn't realize I had so much e-mail and old folders. I found I had some folders form 2005. I deleted all those old files and created a new one for 2008. I usually delete all the spam daily before I read my e-mail. I keep e-mail for a few days to read over again and if I need to refer to it later, I put it in a folder. It looks like I need to keep better track of all those e-mails and delete, delete, delete what is not needed daily.

#28-Spring Cleaning-GTD

I read about GTD and I already use a yahoo calendar that alerts me when an event is coming up. I keep it up to date and I use it to remind me of my Sunday schedule or other important events. I usually use a desk calendar, at work, that I can keep handy and write daily reminders or some event in the future. I don't have to worry about logging on to the computer or carry around a desktop or other gadget to remind me about some event coming up. I like my desk calendar and I like writing things down. It helps me to remember.

Week 10: #23 Is This the End?

Wow! Learning about blogging, Rss feeds, Library Elf, Avatars, etc; was really exhausting! But exhausting as it was, I really liked that I have learned so much I hope I can get back and remember how to use them. All this was new and a real challenge to me.

Thanks to my co-workers that came to my aide and together we learned to do the exercises. I know I'm open to any new challenges and it won't be so hard next time.

Week 9: #22 Downloadable Media

I've never downloaded any books and probably never will, but I've checked out several audio books just to listen to in my car coming in to work and home. I'm not a big fan of audio books just because it is very distracting while driving. I would rather cuddle in my bed and read a good book, especially a mystery or a good western. I did check out the HCPL library and I was a little disappointed that I didn't find the music I was searching for. While LibriVox and Wowio do have a good selection I would rather check out books from our Library.

Week 9: #21 Podcasts

There are so many Podcasts out there and so much information flying around that it was so hard to find something I was really interested in and willing to listen to. It takes alot of time to listen to every thing you choose, I finally did put a feeds on my bloglines.

Week 9: #20 YouTube

I visited the YouTube comedy site first because I love comedy. I thought I was goings to see some knee slapping, rolling on the ground funny videos but instead all I saw was not so good stuff. I was very disappointed. I went to the animal videos and I really liked to watch the little critters at play, dance and even talk to each other! I can watch them all day.
